Icelandic Sheepdog
BISS GCH CH Isneista Fjari
12/24/2008 - Fjari came to us as a rescue dog. His original owner passed away and he needed a new home. He went through a few homes where he would escape fences and end up in the road. Finally he found his way to us and has been here ever since. Even though he requires more work to keep safe than the Goldens, we still love him. His favorite job is to wake the kids up before school every morning by jumping on their beds and licking them in the face until they move. He also happens to be a show dog and I have had a lot of fun showing him. He has taken a few Group placements, Breed at the 2012 Eukanuba National Championships, Best in Specialty Show at the 2013 Icelandic Sheepdog Nationals and is now qualified for Westminster Dog show in 2014, all on a very limited show schedule. What a surprise and great learning experience he has been. He is co-owned with Laurie Ball-Gisch, also of Midland, MI. Laurie raises Icelandic Sheep as well as Icelandic Sheepdogs. What an honor, especially for our first trip to this very big show! We had a lot of fun in New York City and Fjari handled the whole trip very well!

This was the 2013 Icelandic Sheepdog National Specialty in St. Louis, MO at Purina Farms. I could not be there to handle Fjari due to some family commitments that coincided on the same weekend so I hired a professional handler, Cheryl Murphy, who did a wonderful job and took Fjari to Best in Specialty Show!
December 2012, Orlando, FL - Eukanuba National Championships
