CH Gypsy Wind Sumrcrk Zuni Bear NA NAJ
9/30/1995-5/14/2010 Zuni was my heart dog. We shared a lot of special moments: He was my first Champion in Confirmation. We made the cut at our first Golden Retriever National Specialty that we had ever attended in St. Louis, MO in 1997. He was resting his head on my stomache the first time I felt my daughter kick during my first pregnancy. And he was always there when I needed a shoulder to cry on. He was very special to me. |

Summercreek's Northern Lights NA OAJ (aka Auri)
1/2/1997-1/1/2008 Auri was a real sweatheart. He was the runt of the litter from the Zuni x Breezy litter back in 1997. We never thought he would live as he was only 3 oz. when he was born. But he was such a little fighter. He was on the small side and very cute. We decided we had to keep him even though he was not breeding stock and had him fixed. He was aptly named as he was always happy, never tested us and I swear he was an angel carrying this bright light with him. He loved to please us, especially in agility. He was never fast but he really enjoyed the time with me and I really enjoyed the time with him! |

Summercreek's Moon Lit Morgan CD NA NAJ
1/2/1997-summer of 2011 Morgan was a the easiest dog I ever had. She did anything and everything you asked for and never tested you. Like a true Golden, she lived to please. She almost had High in Trial at two Obedience competitions, both times only missing my 1/2 a point. She also ran agility and even though she was slow, she was very careful because she didn't want to mess up. I still miss her smiling face. Better pictures to come... |

Gypsy Wind's Charmed Delight (aka Piper)
3/07/2003-2009 We got Piper from Gypsy Wind kennels. Piper was my first Golden on the lighter side of color. She moved like a dream in the show ring because she had such good angulation and actually got 2 points towards her Championship. Unfortantely for Piper, we had our first child just a year after we got her and then the following year, twin boys. So Piper didn't do much competing as Mom was just too tired. Piper had started a show career in the Confirmation ring and was training for hunt tests but I got put on bed rest and the rest was history. But Piper was a nice dog and had a good life just being our dog. She was taken from us much too soon. |

Gypsy Wind's Cool Breeze CD NA (aka Breezy)
1993 - 2004 Breezy was my college graduation gift to myself. I looked long and hard before I found the right breeder who was breeding dogs with correct angulation and the style of Golden I was used to from my childhood. Breezy taught me a lot about will power and how to be consistent in training. She was a very special dog who never left Jeff's side during his illnesses. She challenged us at every corner and made life hilarious. We tried our hand at Confirmation (got 1 pt), Obedience (16 trials to get three qualifying scores because she got creative in the ring) and Agility (also got creative in the ring, so never got her 3rd qualifying score on her jumpers title). I have many stories and memories of Breezy and I just know that she is watching over our family even now. She was just that kind of dog. Pictures to come... |
